Palavas-les-Flots est une commune française située dans le département de l’Hérault, en région Occitanie, dans le sud-est de la France.
Créée en 1850 à la suite d’un démembrement du territoire de ses communes voisines, et située sur le littoral du golfe du Lion et de son annexe, le golfe d’Aigues-Mortes, cette petite ville méditerranéenne fut, à l’origine, un modeste port de pêche situé à l’embouchure du fleuve languedocien, le Lez.

Palavas-les-Flots is a French commune located in the department of Hérault, in the Occitanie region, in the south-east of France.
Created in 1850 following the dismemberment of the territory of its neighboring municipalities, and located on the coast of the Gulf of Lion and its annex, the Gulf of Aigues-Mortes, this small Mediterranean town was, originally, a modest fishing port located at the mouth of the Languedoc river, the Lez.
